Introduction
The Hanging Church, also known as the Saint Virgin Mary's Coptic Orthodox Church in Alexandria, was built in the 3rd century and is one of the oldest churches in Egypt's history. The church is situated at the entrance of the Roman Babylon Fortress, with its main sanctuary hanging above a causeway, which is truly breathtaking. Inside the church, there are 13 large pillars representing Jesus and his twelve disciples. With its white twin-tower structure, the architecture is not only noble and elegant but also gives a sense of purity. Address Sharia Mar Girgis, Old Cairo, Egypt
