Introduction

Yagong Island, located in the northern part of Yongle Islands, is a small island formed by reefs, about 1 nautical mile southeast of Quanfu Island. It is located on the route of the "Silver Island Gate", developed in the shallow lake and in the deep water area. The reason for the formation of such islands is the strong tide, large waves, rich plankton in the open sea or shallow lakes, which is conducive to the growth and merging of reefs and the formation of new small islands. Yagong Island is crescent-shaped, showing the influence of the northeast wind on the development of reefs, and its name comes from its island shape resembling a duck. Among Hainan fishermen, Yagong Island is also known as "Yagong Zhi".
