Introduction

The Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt is an ancient tomb built by Pharaoh Khufu of the Fourth Dynasty of Ancient Egypt. As the largest and tallest Egyptian-style pyramid in the world, this pyramid was constructed in 2580 BC and took 20 years to complete. The Great Pyramid of Giza is the oldest structure among the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and the only one that remains partly intact today.

Transportation
Subway: The Pyramid Scenic Area is located in downtown Cairo. To reach the pyramids, you can take the subway for 1 Egyptian pound to El Giza station, then transfer to a bus outside the station for 0.5-2 Egyptian pounds, or take a taxi for 15-20 Egyptian pounds to reach the entrance of the pyramids. (The parking area is a short walk of about 5 minutes to the ticket office from the main gate.)
