Introduction

The border guard post located on the hill on the China-Russia border is the easternmost border guard post in China, known as the "first post of the East". It has been visited and comforted by national leaders such as Hu Jintao, Jiang Zemin, Li Peng, and Zhu Rongji. In the courtyard of the post, there is a stone tablet inscribed with a powerful sentence by Jiang Zemin: "Be a good guard of the country's borders and defend our Chinese border regions." In 1993, Wanghaige was built, a three-story building about 14 meters high and covering an area of 650 square meters, located on the east side of Fangchuan Border Guard Post. Standing on Wanghaige, you can overlook the Duman River in North Korea and the town of Pogranichny in Russia, and even the coastal plain with a lake and marshes directly in front. The "Wanghaige" was inscribed by the former Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission, Liu Huaqing.
