Introduction
Zhongshan Xiaoyao Valley is located in Tanzhou Town, Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province, China. It is a tourist attraction with a strong natural landscape and cultural atmosphere, and is also one of the important ecological tourism scenic areas in Zhongshan City and even the Pearl River Delta. It is known as the "Southern Peach Blossom Land" and is comparable to other famous tourist attractions in Guangdong Province such as Shiqianyan, Dongjiang Lake, and the World Heritage Site, Kaiping Diaolou and Villages.
The planned area of the Zhongshan Xiaoyao Valley scenic area is 20 square kilometers, with a total investment of 1.8 billion yuan. The main landscape of the scenic area is the typical karst landform of the Pearl River Delta region, and the scenic area also includes natural landscapes such as canyons, caves, waterfalls, plank roads, cliffs, and forests. In addition, the scenic area also has tropical climate characteristics, with two vegetation types, subtropical broad-leaved forests and evergreen needle-leaved forests, as well as rich and diverse wild animal and plant resources. It is an ecological demonstration area for protecting wildlife, natural ecology, and promoting low-carbon and environmentally friendly tourism. It has been rated as a municipal-level ecological demonstration area and a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.
The Zhongshan Xiaoyao Valley scenic area also incorporates multiple cultural elements such as Zhongshan's "Flower and Bird Culture", the "Lingnan Culture" of the Pearl River Delta, and the "Min Nan Hakka Culture", to create a unique cultural landscape. The main buildings in the scenic area include the "Min Nan Hakka Village", "Li Yuan Cultural Square", "Science and Culture Center", and "Architectural Museum". Especially the "Min Nan Hakka Village", the slate road, blue brick and wooden houses, fish ponds and bamboo rafts constitute a scene of folk life, allowing visitors to feel the historical charm of traditional Min Nan Hakka culture, while also enjoying local specialty food.
The Zhongshan Xiaoyao Valley also has highlights such as night performances and water curtain movies. At night, the scenic area is brightly lit, and the performance venue is located in the folk village. The lights are intertwined, instantly decorating the Zhongshan Xiaoyao Valley into a dazzling sight, allowing visitors to fully appreciate the charm of the night.
