Introduction

Located in the southern edge of the Yangtze River Delta region, spanning across the cities of Suzhou, Wuxi, and Changzhou, it is one of China's five large freshwater lakes. It is a large shallow water lake in the Plain Water Network Area, with 48 islands and 72 mountains, creating a beautiful scenic view. Major tourist attractions in the area include Suzhou's Xishan Scenic Area and Dongshan Scenic Area, as well as Wuxi's Turtle Head Isle Park and Li Lake Scenic Area.
