Introduction

Linggu Temple was founded in 514 AD to commemorate the famous monk Master Baozhi, initially named Kaishan Temple. During the Ming Dynasty, Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang personally named it "Linggu Zen Temple" and it was honored as the "number one Zen forest in the world". The main hall of Linggu Temple, Juedang Hall, houses a mini-golden pagoda containing Xuanzang's skull relic, which is extremely precious and can only be seen when exhibited in Linggu Temple. Climbing Linggu Tower, you can overlook the surrounding beauty. The two magnolia trees in front of the Hall of Great Heroes bloom first, and it is said that one of the magnolia trees in front of the temple has been growing for nearly a thousand years, which is not to be missed.
