Pinxihu is a reservoir, also known as the Baigui Mountain Reservoir. It is located on the main stream of the Shahu River in the Huaihe River Basin. The dam is located in the southwest suburb of Pingdingshan City, 9 kilometers away from the city center. Its geographical coordinates range from 112°50′E to 113°15′E and from 33°40′N to 33°50′N.
