Introduction

Pu'er Sun River National Park is located in the southeast of Simao District, Pu'er City, not far from the Nan Dao River entrance of the Sihao Expressway. The park covers an area of 216.23 square kilometers, with a forest coverage of up to 91.8% and abundant vegetation and wildlife resources. The local climate is suitable, with an average annual temperature of 17.7℃ and a higher annual precipitation from May to October, reaching over 1500mm. In addition, the local sunshine hours are about 2200 hours, and the total solar radiation is 130,000 cal/cm2. Geologically, the park belongs to the southern segment of the Tanggula-Changdu-Lanping-Simao fold system, which is part of the Simao Basin. All rivers in the park are tributaries of the Lancang River system, with complex and varied flow directions, which are difficult to find in other areas.
