Introduction

Located in Mojiang, the Tropic of Cancer Landmark Garden is a large and well-equipped AAAA-level scenic spot, as well as a patriotic education base and astronomical popular science education base in Yunnan province. The park combines astronomy, geography, plants, science popularization knowledge, landscape art, and tourism culture to showcase Mojiang's three major characteristics as the "Hani Hometown, Tropic of Cancer City, and Twin City". Based on the location of the Tropic of Cancer in 2038 AD (23°26′N) and relying on the mountain range, the park includes attractions such as the Gate of the Tropic of Cancer, the Transcendence Tower, the Tropic of Cancer Main Standard Tower, the Gemini Square, the Mojiang Astronomy Museum, the Stone Array Square, and the Hani Fire Tower. Combining ancient "October solar calendar" with modern technology, the park accurately displays the geographic location and changes of the Tropic of Cancer, allowing people to capture the astronomical spectacle of the "pole disappears" phenomenon during the summer solstice.
