Introduction

Located in the Cishou Temple in Baliqiao, Haidian District, Beijing, the Cishou Temple Pagoda, also known as the Yong'an Wanshou Pagoda, Baliqiao Pagoda, and Linglong Treasure Pagoda, was built after the Tianning Temple Pagoda. It was originally named the Yong'an Wanshou Pagoda. As a municipal cultural relics protection unit in Beijing, it is located in the Yuyuantan Township. The site of the pagoda was the tomb of Gu Dayong, a eunuch in the Zhengde period of the Ming Dynasty. The temple and pagoda were both built in the fourth year of the Wanli reign of the Ming Dynasty (1576), funded by the Empress Dowager Cisheng, the mother of Emperor Shenzong, and completed in six years. It was repaired in the 22nd year of the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty (1757). After the temple was abolished, only this pagoda has survived to this day.
