Introduction
The Menghuan Dajin Pagoda is located on the Leiya Mountain in the southeastern part of Mang City, with an altitude of 1079.6 meters. As a landmark of Mang City, it is also a sacred place for the local Dai people. The entire pagoda is about 76 meters high, with a bottom diameter of about 50 meters. It is an octagonal, four-door hollow Buddha pagoda, with the first three floors as large hollow halls. The first floor of the pagoda has an area of about 2,000 square meters, with a Buddha statue on each of the four central columns. The second and third floors each have 16 unique small pagodas, with 16 white jade Buddha statues inside each pagoda. The main body of the pagoda is a bell-shaped tower, with eight small pagodas on the second and third floors, and eight beautiful vase-shaped pagoda tops on the outer platform of the fourth floor. The main column houses a large bell and 13 bowls, and the top is adorned with a large golden top weighing 2.3 tons. This hollow Buddha pagoda is known as the first golden Buddha pagoda in China and the first hollow Buddha pagoda in Asia.
