Introduction

This comprehensive museum, established by the government, not only assists in the cultural relic investigation and archaeological excavation of construction projects in the city, but also collects, exhibits, researches and utilizes cultural relics, and manages cultural relic protection units throughout the city. As a key window of the municipal government and an important part of the party's scientific and cultural undertakings, the museum is committed to implementing relevant laws such as the "Cultural Relics Protection Law". After more than 40 years of development, the museum has continuously expanded its staff and property resources, and has discovered and identified 108 cultural relic protection units, including 56 national first-level cultural relics, 277 national second-level cultural relics, and 2331 national third-level cultural relics. The museum's collection is particularly prominent in ancient bronze mirrors and porcelain of the Six Dynasties, with more than 20,000 cultural relics housed in the museum, making it one of the well-known cultural relic protection institutions in the country. At the same time, the discovery of over 500 ancient bronze mirrors has also earned the city the reputation of being the "hometown of bronze mirrors".
