Introduction

Jieyang Xuegong was built in the 10th year of Southern Song Dynasty's Shaoxing era (1140 AD), containing the essence of Confucian culture that has lasted for a millennium. Currently, there are 21 existing buildings in Jieyang Xuegong, making it the largest, best-equipped, and most completely preserved historical building of its kind in Lingnan region. Additionally, it is the only cultural relic protection unit named after "Comrade Zhou Enlai's revolutionary activities" in the province. In May 2013, Jieyang Xuegong was officially designated as the seventh national key cultural relic protection unit by the State Council.
