Introduction
Han River is the second largest river in Guangdong Province, with a total length of about 410 kilometers. It originates from Tingjiang River and Meijiang in southwestern Ninghua County, Fujian Province, flows through the Dapu County and Chaozhou City of Guangdong Province, and finally empties into the South China Sea. Han River used to be called Yuan Water, Exi River, and Crocodile Creek because crocodiles used to appear in the river. Later, in order to commemorate Han Yu, the name of Han River was changed to its current name. Han River is an important waterway in Chaozhou, Shantou, Xingning, and Meixian, with many scenic spots along the coast, including Crocodile Crossing in Autumn, Xiangzi Bridge, Phoenix Terrace, Phoenix Tower, and Longqiu Pagoda, which together form a magnificent picture. The lower reaches of Han River are divided into three branches, namely Beixi, Dongxi, and Xixi, of which Xixi passes through Shantou City and enters the sea at Shantou Port, becoming the main trunk line of navigation in the lower reaches of Han River. The flood season of Han River is from April to September each year, with the peak appearing in June. Address Chaozhou City, Guangdong Province
