Introduction

The Prince's Mansion was built for Xu Jue, the son-in-law of Emperor Yingzong of the Northern Song Dynasty and the husband of Princess De'an. The mansion was constructed during the reign of Emperor Yingzong in the period of Zhiping and has undergone several renovations, but the layout and features from the time of its establishment have been well preserved. The building area of the Prince's Mansion is approximately 1,800 square meters, with the main building consisting of three courtyards and five rooms, with both the front and back halls featuring insert mountain halls and rooms, totaling nine rooms. The east and west surrounding rooms of the central hall include facilities such as a storage hall, rooms, and a study. Behind the upper hall is a backyard that spans the entire courtyard. The three courtyards and inserted mountains of the mansion form a '工' shaped layout, with the surrounding rooms hidden behind the gable walls on both sides of the central hall, creating a unique design of independent halls, independent courtyards, and independent skylights.
