Chaozhou Riverside Promenade, A Riverside Promenade of Serenity and History
North side of Hanjiang Bridge, Xiangqiao District, Chaozhou City, Guangdong Province

Introduction
In 2001, after thousands of years of sedimentation and rebirth, the ancient city wall of Chaozhou became renewed and revived, shedding its dusty appearance. Between the gray and green walls reminiscent of the Great Wall, the waterfront promenade plays a symphony that blends together melodies such as Fengtai Shi Yu, West Lake Rafting, and Xiangqiao Chunshui, adding a sense of harmony and beauty to this small ancient city. Although the history of the city walls has faded, their simplicity still remains. Four city gates still stand tall on the Balian embankment, revealing memories of old Chaozhou. At night, the waterfront becomes even more breathtaking, with street lamps and festive lights adorning the city gates from the Upper Water Gate to the Lower Water Gate, complementing the night scenes of Xiangzi Bridge, Han River Bridge, and Fenghuang Island Park, creating a beautiful fairy tale-like atmosphere. The waterfront promenade is a perfect representation of picturesque bridge scenery and is definitely worth a visit.
