Introduction

Guangji Bridge, named after its legendary association with Xiangzi, was built in 1171 and is one of China's four ancient bridges, along with the Zhaozhou Bridge, the Luoyang Bridge, and the Lugou Bridge. Its unique structure combines girder, arch, and floating bridge across the Han River and is incredibly rare. It is said that "if you don't reach the bridge when the tide comes, it's a waste to come this way." The bridge piers are adorned with exquisite archways, pavilions, and turrets, with 24 towers, each with a unique shape. In the middle, there is a lift bridge made up of 18 ancient shuttle boats that can navigate at night and are both rigid and flexible, making it a fascinating sight. Because of the need for navigation, the floating bridge is raised every day around 5:30 pm, allowing cargo ships to pass through the river, which is a unique spectacle and an unforgettable experience for tourists.
