Zhelang Peninsula is located 18 kilometers east of Shanwei City, connected to Jieshi Bay, and surrounded by the Red Sea Bay with the sea all around. From here, it is a 70 nautical mile distance to Shantou and a 82 nautical mile distance to Hong Kong by sea. On land, it can be reached by 200 kilometers to Shantou, 210 kilometers to Shenzhen, and 320 kilometers to Guangzhou.
