Introduction

Jigong Mountain in the south of Xinyang City, Henan Province, is a famous tourist attraction in Central China and a national key scenic spot, a national nature reserve, and a 5A scenic spot. Unlike other famous mountains, Jigong Mountain only began to receive attention in the early 20th century. Jigong Mountain is a branch of Dabie Mountain, and its main peak, Jigongtou (also known as Baoxiaofeng), resembles a rooster stretching its neck and singing, hence its name. It is known for its natural beauty and is known as "the clear boundary between Chu and Yu, the atmospheric pressure of Song and Heng". In history, it was listed as one of the four major summer resorts in China along with Mount Lu, Beidaihe, and Moganshan. It has several unique natural landscapes, including Buddha light, clouds, misty water, rainwater, Xia light, exotic flowers and plants, strange peaks and rocks, and waterfalls.
