Introduction

Yexian County Government Office is the only existing Ming Dynasty county government building in China, located on Dong Street in Yexian County, Henan Province. The building is grand and large in scale. Designed according to the standard of a fifth-class county government office, the building covers an area of 16,848 square meters, consisting of 41 units and 153 rooms on the central axis and the east and west sides. The main building includes the Great Hall, Second Hall, Third Hall, prison, kitchen, county magistrate's residence, temple, Xushi Hall, and Sibuzhai, among many others. The county government office faces south and joins the north, with a unique layout and profound historical and cultural value.
