Introduction

Known as the "Golden Cave", the Huangxian Cave is the core scenic spot of the Dahong Mountain Scenic Area and a 4A-level scenic spot. The Huangxian Cave is located in Kedian Town, Zhongxiang City, Hubei Province, about 52 kilometers away from the city center and facing the northwest. The total length of the cave is about 2,500 meters, with a spectacular cave mouth wall reaching up to 100 meters high and 70 meters wide. Inside the cave, the winding and layered limestone is eroded by natural water and underground water, forming a unique natural stone forest landscape and rich karst landform features after an extremely long geological development history. The scenery inside the cave is extremely magnificent, with various shapes of stalactites and stalagmites, stone needles, stone spears, stone pillars, stone towers, stone curtains and stone waterfalls, presenting colorful colors such as red, yellow, white, and brown, with alluring views, brilliant colors, perplexing mystery, majestic momentum and magnificent waves. Experts and scholars believe that the typical karst landform in the scenic area, the "Cloud Basin" landscape of over 20,000 square meters, is one of the most magnificent landscapes of karst caves in the country. Special local products of the scenic area include shiitake mushrooms, black fungus, kudzu powder, and ginkgo fruit. Around the Huangxian Cave, there are many farmhouse restaurants and accommodation options such as Huangxian Cave Villa. The natural and cultural landscapes here have attracted many people to visit and experience the beauty of nature.
