Introduction

The upper section of Tiger Leaping Gorge is called Shanghutiao, which is also the narrowest area of the entire gorge. One side is a steep mountain wall, almost vertical. Shanghutiao was developed early on and a plank road was built to make it easier for visitors to reach the river from the roadside. For agile walkers, it takes only 20 minutes to arrive. Because the road is relatively flat, the distance is not long and the difficulty is low, some people jokingly call Shanghutiao the "senior citizen activity center".

The price for carpooling is around 35-50 yuan per person, while the price for renting a private car varies from 150-300 yuan depending on the car model.
