Introduction

The Mireriba Pagoda, located in the north of Hezuo City, the capital of Gannan Prefecture, is one of the representative buildings of the White Sect of Tibetan Buddhism. Its exterior is magnificent with rich colors, while its interior is resplendent with golden painting and full of murals, and it also has a prayer wheel. There are two Mireriba Pagodas in the entire Tibetan area, and this one in Hezuo is one of them. Mireriba is a legendary master in the history of Tibetan Buddhism and one of the founders of the Gelug Sect (White Sect). Visitors need to take off their shoes before entering the pagoda, and they need to walk in a clockwise direction when entering the hall. The pagoda has 9 floors, each of which is an independent Buddha hall, with different main statues representing different sects. Visitors can purchase disposable slippers and walk according to the rules. In addition, the murals here are also very exquisite, with a large scale and high-level painting techniques, which have high artistic value and show the connotation of Tibetan Buddhism. The colored paintings, thangkas, and statues are all integrated, fully reflecting the characteristics of this culture.
