Introduction

Located in the Danangxi Scenic Area, the Lion Rock is two small islets in the Qiantan of Xiankou on the west bank of the Yantou Town. These rocks have unique shapes and from afar, they look like a lion playing with a giant ball, hence the name Lion Rock. The entire scenic area is not only a natural picturesque landscape, but also a natural bonsai of the Nanxi River. One of the Lion Rocks really looks like a lion, covered with strange rocks, it stands face-up against the river current. The other rock looks more like a ball and is named the "Lion Ball Islet". The islet is covered with dense trees and grass, and the wind blows the treetops, swaying like a rolling lion ball. During the day, the Lion Rock reflects a beautiful image in the calm waters of the pool like a mirror, elegant and noble, attracting the attention of photography enthusiasts from around the world. At night, the bright moon hangs high, bamboo rafts sway on the water surface, cormorants catch fish, and fishing lanterns twinkle, illuminating the river. At this time, the river surface is shimmering, complex and beautiful, as if entering a world underwater, and the view is breathtaking.
