Introduction

Baishuitai is a natural wonder located at the foot of the Haba Snow Mountains. The carbonated calcium in the spring water has formed a terraced landscape, known as the "Fields of Immortals", covering an area of approximately 3 square kilometers, making it the largest Huaquan terrace in China. As a holy site of the Dongba religion of the Naxi people, the Baishuitai attracts people of various ethnicities, including Tibetans, Naxis, Yis, Bai and Lisu, to participate in the annual "Chao Baishui" event on the eighth day of the second lunar month. This event includes singing, dancing, picnics and worship ceremonies, where people pray for a good harvest in the coming year, showcasing a rich ethnic charm.
