Introduction

This Bai ethnic village has a long history, with most of its buildings constructed during the Ming and Qing dynasties. It was once an important trading post on the Tea Horse Road, attracting many merchants and leaving behind many exquisite buildings. The sights worth seeing include the Dragon King Temple, Gujiangxi Hall, Wanshou Palace, ancient banyan trees, the "Timing Fang" of the Huang family, and the "Lingxing Gate" in front of the Jade Emperor Pavilion. The archway is the largest existing ancient wooden archway in western Yunnan. The ancient Huanglian tree in the village is up to thirty to forty meters high, and the oldest tree is over 800 years old. The village is secluded and mysterious, reminiscent of a utopia. A episode of "A Bite of China" made Nodeng Ham famous throughout the country. Be sure to taste it when you visit here.
