Introduction

This sculpture is located in the middle of Binghe Road on the south bank of the Yellow River in Lanzhou City, with Xiaoxihu Park to the north. It is the most valuable piece of sculpture in a series of sculptures depicting the mother river across the country. The whole composition consists of a "mother" and a "baby boy", which symbolize the Yellow River mother and the descendants of the Chinese nation. Today, the "Yellow River mother" has become a symbolic sculpture of Lanzhou, representing the image of the city.
