Introduction

In Lijiang, the Three-eye Well is an ancient water-saving method which uses the flow of water to design three connected ponds. Water flows down from the first pond to the third pond before it is discharged. The small pond is divided into three parts, the first part is used for drinking water, the second part for washing vegetables, and the third part for washing clothes.
