Introduction

The Palace Hotel building, located on the Bund in Shanghai, was built in the early 20th century in the style of the new Renaissance. It is located at the intersection of No. 19 the Bund and No. 23 Nanjing Road, in a prime location adjacent to the golden area. As early as the early 1850s, a three-story Central Hotel was built here, which became one of the oldest foreign-funded hotels in the concession area, along with the Astor House Hotel.
