Introduction

The Imperial Academy is located on Guozijian Street within the gates of Andingmen in Beijing, adjacent to Confucius Temple and Yonghe Temple. It is the highest governing body of national education institutions and the highest academic institution in China during the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. The original name of Confucius Temple was Guozijian Confucius Temple or Beijing Confucius Temple, where the emperor held national sacrificial rites to Confucius. It formed the "left temple and right school" system with the Imperial Academy. The pleasant climate in the spring with flourishing plants makes it the best tourism season from April to October. Visitors can enjoy a walk in the Imperial City Park and view the colorful flowers and birds. The unique feature of the scenic area is the Wisteria flowers, which attract many tourists to come and watch every spring.

Last admission time: 16:30 (Tuesday to Sunday from April 30 to November 1) all day (Monday from April 30 to November 1) Notes: Minors and those without capacity for civil conduct (including those with limited capacity for civil conduct) must be accompanied by a guardian to enter the museum. Visitors from outside the city who are 70 years old or above (inclusive) can enjoy free admission with a senior citizen card or ID card. Visitors from outside the city who are between 60 and 70 years old (inclusive) can enjoy half-price discount with a senior citizen card or ID card.
