For the Bai people, Butterfly Spring symbolizes love and loyalty. Every year during the butterfly gathering, Bai young men and women from all over will come together to find their true love through throwing stones to test the water depth and singing songs. The water of Butterfly Spring is clear like a mirror, and every year the butterfly gathering attracts countless butterflies from all directions, as if competing with the water in brightness. Many butterflies will gather together, forming a long dragon-like spectacle, like a series of colorful necklaces, flying in circles on the Dahua Tree, which is incredibly beautiful and magnificent.
