Introduction

Lake Lucerne is located in central Switzerland, adjacent to four cantons: Lucerne, Uri, Schwyz, Obwalden, and Nidwalden. It is the fifth largest lake in Switzerland, covering 115.2 square kilometers and crossing the ridge of the Alps, with a unique shape. The Reuss River flows south to north into Lake Lucerne in Uri, partially known as Lake Uri. Then the lake merges with the Muota River in Schwyz, the lake turns east-west, then joins the Engelberger Aa River from Nidwalden and turns north. Next, the lake suddenly narrows and becomes cross-shaped after entering Lucerne, with the Sarner Aa River flowing into the southwest wing and the northeast wing suddenly plunging into Schwyz, and the lake water flowing out of Lucerne into the Reuss River. The lake area has stunning scenery, surrounded by high mountains such as Pilatus Peak, Stanserhorn, and Rigi Peak, giving tourists a sense of Switzerland's beauty. Whether locals or foreigners, they come here to visit and enjoy the wonderful holiday facilities. Visitors can take the lake tour bus to travel around the lake, but the route is relatively winding and takes a long time. In addition, there are also multiple ferry routes available for tourists, providing convenience.
