Introduction

Calafate is one of the most famous scenic areas in southern Argentina, known for its spectacular Perite Moreno glacier. It is also home to Argentina's second largest lake, Argentine Lake. The area is named after a local plant that produces fruit used to make jam. If you have enough energy, it is recommended to participate in the Big Ice Trekking Tour to truly experience the grandeur of the glacier. Of course, if you have physical limitations, the Mini Ice Trekking Tour is also a good option. The whole town is very relaxed, and the locals are very hospitable, even though their English level may be limited, basic communication is not a problem. You can also participate in horseback riding and outdoor rock climbing activities around the lake. This is a 3-4 day trip that is well-suited for this area. If time is limited, it is recommended to plan at least a two-day itinerary, otherwise, you may miss the most beautiful scenery.
