Introduction
Tarsiers are a national treasure in the southern Philippines and are classified as an endangered species. They are called "eyeglass monkeys" because of their large, round eyes that make them look like they are wearing glasses. They are small in size and are usually active at night, relying on jumping as their main form of movement. Their long, flexible tails make them look very cute. In Bohol Island, the Tarsier Visitor Center is a popular spot where tourists can observe these small animals up close and see their various adorable poses. Tarsiers can rotate their heads 180 degrees and can jump to a height that is over 20 times their own size. While the center offers photo opportunities with the tarsiers, touching them is prohibited.
