Autumn is the most beautiful season in the New England region, and the red leaves on the White Mountains are the most memorable sight of the season. The White Mountains are located north of Boston and can be reached by car in about two hours. Its highest peak, Mt. Washington, is also the highest point in the entire New England region. Spring and summer are good seasons for hiking, while autumn is the best time to appreciate the fall foliage. In winter, it becomes a paradise for skiing. Worth mentioning is that, here you can ride the world's oldest mountain-climbing train-the Mount Washington Cog Railway, the train is colorful and elegant.
