Introduction

Qianqiu Park is located on the site of the former castle of the lord of Akita Domain, Kubota. Of the eight castle towers within the castle, one has been renovated into a small museum to commemorate the centennial of the city's founding. In summer, water lilies bloom in the park, while in spring it is famous for its cherry blossoms, making it one of Japan's top 100 cherry blossom viewing spots.
