Introduction

Built in 1951, the Amman Museum is the most outstanding museum in the city, located on a hill overlooking the entire city. Although the museum is small, it houses artifacts from various eras, from the decline of the Roman Empire to human skulls and Dead Sea scrolls, as well as jewelry and pottery of excellent quality. The accompanying explanatory signs provide a detailed explanation of the artifacts on display, helping visitors to have a clearer understanding of what they are observing. One important highlight of the museum is that most of the artifacts on display do not have protective glass, but are placed in front of people, allowing visitors to observe historical artifacts more comprehensively without damaging them.
