Introduction
Next to the Bandula Square, there is a rare, beautiful park, filled with green trees, flowers and shrubs. In the center of this park is a magnificent lake, quietly resting against a huge boat. The boat is supported by two divine birds, with their magnificent outlines visible from afar. This is the famous Karaweik Palace, once an imperial water restaurant exclusively for ancient Burmese emperors. In addition to this, similar boats inspired by divine birds can also be seen in Mandalay and Inle Lake. Every evening from 18:30 to 20:30, tourists can enjoy buffet meals and traditional Burmese palace dance performances here.
