Introduction

In the Bagan Plains, every tourist hopes to find a tower of their own. Shwesandaw Pagoda is a famous spot for viewing sunrise and sunset, but there is also a little-known small tower nearby called the "Budget Traveller's Tower." Tourists can reach the platform of this tower through a passage and enjoy a panoramic view of the Bagan Plains. In addition, famous hot air balloons can be seen flying over, making it even a popular spot for the cover photo of the Bagan guidebook. Compared to Shwesandaw Pagoda, this tower has fewer visitors, avoiding the hustle and bustle, and allowing visitors to feel the beauty of Bagan more peacefully. This little tower is actually the main tower in the Shwe-Nan-Yin-Taw Monastery Complex, once a place for monks to meditate. It still allows tourists to climb to the top to enjoy sunrise and sunset, guarded by a kind elderly lady who helps with lighting along the way. Although she is old, she still works tirelessly, leading tourists up the steep stairs. Therefore, most tourists will spontaneously give her some tips to show their gratitude.
