Introduction

Here is the Palace complex built after the Shirvanshah dynasty relocated the capital to Baku in the 12th century. After several periods of abandonment and reconstruction, the last major renovation was carried out in the late 20th century. After this restoration, in the year 2000, the Palace complex was listed as a World Heritage Site along with the Old City.

Transportation
Walk in the old town. Get off at "Baku Old City" Station, the final station on Baku Metro's red line, and go straight after entering the city gate.
