Introduction

This garden was built during the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty and is divided into three areas: the northern section for viewing bamboo, the central garden, and the southern residential area. The garden is mainly decorated with bamboo and stones, and the "Ge" character in the garden's name comes from the word for bamboo, reflecting the various types of bamboo found throughout the garden. The seasonal rockeries are a particularly unique feature of the garden, each one representing a different season and offering a distinct landscape. The northern bamboo forest is a great place to take a walk, and even in the hot summer weather, you can still feel the cool and refreshing atmosphere.
