Introduction

Moxi town is located in the south of Luding County, at the entrance of the eastern slope of Gongga Mountain Scenic Area and Hailuogou Glacier Forest Park. It is the tourist reception base and entrance of Hailuogou scenic area. It only takes about 10 minutes to walk from Moxi town to Hailuogou. It is 304 kilometers, 52 kilometers, and 70 kilometers away from Chengdu, Luding, and Kangding respectively. In addition, a direct road to Kangding has been built, and tourists can go directly to Kangding to visit the famous plateau city. Moxi ancient town has a long history. Although the years have passed, it still retains many ancient buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties, which contain the traces of ancient history. These old buildings are well-preserved and emit a solemn atmosphere. Tourists can visit the Catholic Church built by the French in Moxi town, as well as the place where central leaders like Mao Zedong camped in 1935. In addition, the Gothic church is also a must-see for tourists. It was built by French missionaries a century ago, and the sound of worship and prayer bells still echoes here. To the north of Moxi town's old street, cross the Hengzhi street intersection 200 meters and the right side of the road is a small Guanyin temple. There is an ancient fir tree that is 1,800 years old in the temple, and the incense is flourishing. If tourists have time, they can also visit here.
