Introduction
The Nan'ao Bridge is a key transport infrastructure project of the 11th Five-Year Plan, with a total length of approximately 11.08 kilometers. It starts in Laiwuwei, Chenghai District, Shantou City and connects to the provincial road S336 (Lai Mei Road), spanning across the Nan'ao Ring Road. Due to the influence of the ocean environment, the construction conditions were extremely complex, with large waves, complex sea conditions, and frequent typhoons, requiring reasonable anti-corrosion measures. After overcoming numerous difficulties, the Nan'ao Bridge was completed and opened to traffic on January 1, 2015, marking the end of the history of island transportation depending on ships, and entering the express lane of development for Nan'ao.
