Introduction
- Xuanwu Gate is a part of the Nanjing Ming City Wall and is also the main entrance of Xuanwu Lake Park.
- During the Ming Dynasty, Xuanwu Gate was the gateway to the Northern Palace of the Nanjing Imperial Palace and was previously known as Sangbo or Beihu. It was also a place for naval training.
- In order to enrich the tourist landscape, the new city gate leads to Xuanwu Lake and has been rebuilt as the "Five Continents Park", which is open to the public.
