Introduction

Zhan Garden is one of the longest-preserved historical gardens in Nanjing, which was built during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty. The traditional and elegant layout of the garden includes magnificent ancient buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties and steep and towering artificial mountains. At the same time, Song Dynasty Taihu stones and elegant pavilions and terraces can also be found in the garden, and the royal family treasures the "Hu Zi Bei" stone monument, which is a precious town-defending artifact. The most striking building in the garden is undoubtedly one of the world's oldest air-conditioning buildings, the "Bronze Pavilion". The eastern part of Zhan Garden is dominated by ancient buildings, while the western part belongs to the garden, known for its artificial mountains and water pavilions.
