Introduction

Three Pools Mirroring the Moon Island, also known as Xiaoyingzhou, is the only island among the three islands in West Lake that can be visited on foot, and is hailed as one of the most beautiful scenic spots in West Lake. The outline of the island resembles the character '田', surrounded by Jiangnan gardens, while the interior is divided into four small lakes by cross-shaped islands and bridges, rich in poetic charm. The flowers, plants, and trees on the island are arranged in a pleasing manner, with green willows, fragrant lotus flowers, vibrant red maple trees, and beautiful hibiscus dominating, making it one of the masterpieces of Jiangnan garden art. Three Pools Mirroring the Moon Island is an important symbol on the Chinese renminbi, with its magnificent scenery printed on the back.
