Introduction

- This attraction is an important landmark of West Lake. It was initially built by the king of Wu Yue, Qian Hongchu, to celebrate the birth of his son with his wife. However, it is now more well-known because of its appearance in the classic Chinese legend, "Legend of the White Snake." - "Leifeng Pagoda resembles an old monk, while Baochu Pagoda is like a beautiful lady." The two pagodas stand facing each other, creating a picturesque scene of "two pagodas reflected on the lake, facing north and south." - Every evening, when the sun sets in the west, the silhouette of the pagodas is reflected on the surface of the lake, creating a unique and magnificent view known as "Leifeng Evening Glow."
