Taste the distinctive cuisine of Bruges

This place is jokingly called "Venice of the North", but it is completely different from the bustling and noisy Venice. Bruges is a quiet, small and elegant town, exuding the breath of life, and it is famous for its emotional name.

Gruuthuse Hof

Since 1751, Gruuthuse Hof has been one of the oldest restaurants in Bruges, with a history of over two centuries. The restaurant is located in a charming old building, creating a fantastic atmosphere! With its long history, it mainly offers traditional Belgian cuisine, but in recent years, it has also started to add other European specialties, such as French cuisine. Some highly recommended dishes include stewed beef and crème caramel, which will leave you with a lasting impression, just like the restaurant's rich history.

The Coach

De Koetse is a classic restaurant in Bruges that has been open in the city center for 25 years and is very popular. This restaurant is an excellent place to taste seafood, and almost every guest who visits will order mussels. In addition to mussels, various grilled fish dishes are highly recommended, delicious and tender. Besides mussels, I strongly recommend trying their salmon, vanilla ice cream, and beer with a hint of malt aroma that is perfect for ladies. It will definitely surprise you!

Vlissinghe

Café Vlissinghe, also known as Cafe Vlissinghe by locals, is a great place for outdoor courtyard drinks and chats. This pub, opened since 1515, is the oldest in the town without a doubt. Therefore, the variety of drinks offered here is not only extensive but also very authentic, especially the local Belgian beers. The tavern also serves authentic Belgian cuisine, and I highly recommend trying the grilled shrimp and cheese salad, which is a perfect combination!

In the New Museum

In't Nieuw Museum is a grill restaurant that has been operating since 1978, with a history of 38 years. It uses real charcoal grills to cook meat, and there is an open grill in the dining area, emitting the aroma of the meat itself, which adds to the charm of barbecue. The steak at the restaurant is highly praised by locals, with generous portions and rich sauce, making it very enjoyable to eat! It is best paired with traditional Belgian beer, the combination of quality beer and delicious meat will definitely leave you wanting more!
