Heshun Overseas Chinese Town

This is the earliest origin of cross-border trade in Yunnan and a century-old village on the Southwest Silk Road that is deeply influenced by Central Plains culture. Extending westward from here, it eventually connects to West Asia and South Asia.
Historically known as 'Shimenjing', it is one of the top ten ancient tourist towns in Yunnan and one of the five major salt wells in Yunnan. This Bai ethnic village has a history of over a thousand years. The village is built along the mountain, with residential houses constructed on the slopes. At the foot of the mountain, one can overlook Ming and Qing dynasty buildings. The residential houses are distributed in an orderly manner on the slopes. Within the village, one can see temples, archways, guild halls, ancestral halls, mansions, alleys, cemeteries, and other buildings. The Yuhuang Pavilion complex is magnificent, and the Lingxing Gate in front of the pavilion is the largest existing ancient wooden archway in western Yunnan.

Shaxi Town

As a town with a long history, Shaxi's history can be traced back to the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period more than 2400 years ago. Sideng Street in the town is a well-preserved section of the ancient Tea Horse Road. The ancient town also features attractions such as the ancient theater stage, Yujin Bridge, and Xingjiao Temple.

Bingzhongluo Town

People who come here often say that this is a paradise where gods and humans coexist. Following the Nujiang River northward along the Grand Canyon, on the ancient post road of the Yunnan-Tibet line, one can still seem to trace the marks of the old caravans. Different religions blend here, and various ethnic groups coexist. Entering this place, you can stroll along the ancient path that has existed for thousands of years, gaze at the Nujiang River rushing through the sheer cliffs and canyons, visit beautiful and elegant churches and temples, wander through tranquil and serene village cottages in the fields, explore dense and primitive forests, and admire the majestic and magnificent snow-capped mountains. You will be enchanted by this beautiful pastoral scenery.

Zhanglang Ancient Village

This thousand-year-old village still preserves the ancient culture and customs of the Blang people. The people here believe in Buddhism, and it is a rite of passage for every boy to visit the village to pay homage to Buddha. Some even spend their entire lives doing so. The ancient Zhanglang Buddhist Temple, with its thousand-year history, stands tall in the village, exuding a rustic beauty. Hundreds of years ago, the ancient tea trees in the Pu'er tea garden, which provide shelter from the wind and rain, appeared vibrant and full of life. The black-tiled wooden houses, built along the mountains and rivers, are layered and exquisite. Additionally, the deep and vast Longshan Forest, Elephant Well, ancient post roads, and the ruins of the ancient city of Jingsang are all worth visiting.
